A native of NYC, she has a BS in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame, and she spent more than 13 years at NASA’s Lewis Research Center (now Glenn Research Center) conducting jet engine research.

Step Up and Step Out!
Tony Bratschitsch, DTM, IPDG

November 8, 2014 | 8:00 am

In this keynote, Tony will immediately introduce you to some of the most inspirational leaders that you will ever meet - your fellow Toastmasters. These are people who have made dramatic changes to their lives by stepping up with the Toastmaster program and then stepping out in the real world with new successes. Such leaders have made a difference to their own lives as well as to those around them, including their families, friends and you. These great examples of leadership are very relevant because they are happening every day all around us.

Tony was our District Governor last year which achieved Distinguished Status and was the strongest performing district in Region VI and Canada. He implemented "Members First" as an operating theme for the district and he actively supported our front-line leaders, the Area and Division Governors. Tony introduced and sponsored the inaugural "Spirit Awards" last year and during this keynote, he will be presenting the district's first "Legacy Award".

Tony is an independent management consultant involved in many aspects of business, association and union affairs. Over the last few years, he started to present environmental regulatory cases in the Federal Court of Canada and he has recently enrolled in law school. Tony is the Youth Education Chair for The Royal Canadian Legion branch in Dundas which saw great success with school children winning provincial and national awards last year. He is an experienced workshop presenter for The Arthritis Society of Canada and he is involved with a number of community groups, as well. Tony is also Captain of The Hamilton Smog Hockey Team. Although not politically active, he will be the campaign chair for a major federal party candidate for the upcoming elections.

No matter what we do, there are always more opportunities to Step Up and to Step Out!

Speaking from the Heart with Purpose and Passion – What is Stopping You?
Linda Marlene Eales AdvCBP, ParBP

November 9, 2014 | 8:45 am

What is preventing you from speaking authentically, from your heart? What is stopping you from deeply connecting with your audience, and your leadership potential?

The most persuasive leaders are those that speak with passion and authenticity: They are speaking from the heart.

They speak to us as if they are having a conversation with an old friend, building trust through emotional rapport and enthusiasm.

Every facial expression and body movement communicates the belief they have in the words they are saying. We remember their message and are more likely to act on it. Why are they able to do this?

Join Linda Marlene Eales, for a fascinating journey exploring the science of our beliefs, how they impact our authentic expression and leadership potential, and how to overcome these limitations.  Learn about techniques that will help you connect with your purpose and passion, and share your message in a meaningful, powerful and memorable way.

Linda Marlene Eales, AdvCBP Certified BodyTalk Practitioner and ParBP PaRama BodyTalk Practitioner. For over 20 years, Linda has served on boards and committees, and acted as spokesperson, speaker and educator, for numerous organizations. She operates a full-time BodyTalk practice in Toronto, and facilitates employee wellness programmes for organizations and charities. Linda served as President of TAIE Toastmasters Club in 2013, and currently serves as Secretary of the Board of the Roncesvalles BIA and Vice-Chair of the Ontario BodyTalk Association.
