Timing

Nominations close for the 'Of The Year' awards on July 31st of each year. Award recipients are chosen by the end of August each year. Awards will be presented during the District Director's Banquet, Saturday evening, of the Fall Conference(NOTE: A minimum ticket purchase of Option 2 is necessary to attend this event.)

Nominations close for the Douglas Barclay Award on March 15, 2016. Award recipient is chosen by the end of March. The 2015-16 Douglas Barclay Award will be presented at the Champion Luncheon, Sunday, of the Spring Conference. (NOTE: A minimum ticket purchase of Option 2 is necessary to attend this event.)

Nominations for the Spirit of District 86 Awards are ongoing and can be submitted at any time. Award recipients are chosen and announced by the end of June and/or in September, each year.

Nominations for the Communication and Leadership Award and the Members Making A Difference Awards are ongoing and can be submitted at any time. These awards are presented twice a year at the Fall and Spring Conference, Saturday Luncheon, each year. (NOTE: A minimum ticket purchase of Option 1 is necessary to attend this event.)

Douglas Barclay Award 2016-2017

Each Club in good standing is entitled to nominate one member in good standing who meets some or all of the following qualifications and would accept the nomination.   The nominee must agree to attend the Spring Conference, and the recipient must be present to receive the award.

Tony Bratschitsch Club of the Year Award

Club OTYAll clubs in good standing are eligible. There are three levels to this award.  The Education Leadership award will be awarded to the club with the highest number of points in the Education Leadership category.  The Membership Leadership award will be given to the club with the highest number of points in the Membership Leadership category.  The Club of the Year award will be given to the club with the highest total number of points in ALL three categories.

Division Director of the Year Award

Div Dir OTYThe Division Director of the Year is based on the Division performance and the individuals contributions to that achievement.  The achievements are measured across membership building and retention, club extensions, distinguished club program, education and training, leadership commitment and support, and public relations.

Communication & Leadership Award

Communication Leadership Award D86The Communication and Leadership Award is selected by the District. It is presented to a non-Toastmaster in the community who is an outstanding communicator or leader - and who best exemplifies Toastmasters values.  The person must be in attendance at the conference to receive the award, which is presented at each conference, fall and spring, each year. 

Nomination Process

Award Announcement Date: March 1, 2017

Spirit of District 86 Award

Spirt Award 1The Spirit of District 86 is awarded to a member who consistently exemplifies Toastmasters values, and who has made a significant and notable contribution to District 86's success.

Nomination Process

Any member in good standing may be eligible for this award, except for elected District leaders.  Please send a letter with the reasons why you believe your applicant is worthy of this award to the District Director.

Members Making A Difference (MMAD) Award

  

District 86 Members Making A Difference Award (MMAD) AwardThe Members Making A Difference (MMAD) Award is awarded to a Toastmaster members who volunteer their Toastmasters communication and leadership skills to better the lives of those in their community in a significant and notable way outside of their Toastmasters regular duties.

Nomination Process

Any member in good standing may be a recipient.  Please send a letter with the reasons why you believe your applicant is worthy of this award to the Club Growth Director.
