Healthy clubs are best supported by trained club officers. Phase II Club Officer Training takes place between November 1, 2020 and February 28, 2021 and will be conducted online. TLI training dates are on this link: https://www.toastmasters86.org/events/officer-training/club-officer-training-winter; or better yet, network with other officers in your local area at Division W - Club Officer Training. The Area 64 Director supports club officers in any way they need, and you can contact me at areaW64director@toastmasters86.org
Contests are a fun way to develop outside the club setting and meet other Toastmasters in a supportive environment. Whether you are a contestant or a volunteer, contests are a great way to challenge yourself to go beyond your comfort zone. Tune your leadership skills by taking on a major volunteer role for a contest. All training is provided, and fellow Toastmasters are happy to help: either informally, as a mentor, or gathered together as an advisory committee. Major volunteer roles at contests can even count towards a higher level project in your Pathway. Here is a link to training for the major volunteer roles for this year's digital contests: https://toastmasters86.org/resources/webinar/contests
Other Clubs, Areas, and Divisions are looking for volunteers. Volunteers include prepared speakers for club meetings, workshop facilitators, and contests, so please let me know if you are interested. For a list of other contests in our Division check out the List of Area International Speech Contests, List of Division International Speech Contests.
